Job description

is seeking a to support a federal technology and engineering contractor that delivers cybersecurity, software development, cloud, intelligence, and mission support solutions to U.S. defense, intelligence, and civilian government agencies..

This role is ideal for an experienced network engineer with deep expertise in Cisco security technologies, secure routing, and large-scale network infrastructure deployments. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience implementing and supporting enterprise security solutions within complex government environments.

  • Plans, coordinates, and implements the organization’s information security.
  • Analyzes requirements and potential solutions for technical and economic feasibility.
  • Design optimized firewall and IPS rule structure and ensures standards are maintained.
  • Monitors and maintains health of all firewalls/IPS and recommends improvements.
  • Develops and maintains documentation of firewall/IPS procedures.
  • Develops and maintains complex schematics relating to network security.
  • Researches, evaluates, recommends, designs, tests, and implements new network security technologies.
  • Displays expert knowledge of current security tools and practices.
  • Under general guidance, provides support to network engineers.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional IT experience (YOE flexibility with educational degree)
  • Hands-on experience with
  • Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) - upgrades, licensing, maintenance, and deployment
  • Cisco Firepower - upgrades, maintenance, and deployment
  • Cisco ASA to Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) migrations
  • Cisco 802.1X deployment
  • DMVPN design and deployment (CNSSP-15 compliant)
  • Juniper ADVPN
  • Strong understanding of enterprise routing protocols including:
  • OSPF
  • EIGRP
  • BGP
  • Experience supporting complex enterprise or federal network environments.

  • Salary Range: $145,000 - $160,000 depending on experience
