Job description

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement enterprise-level information security across network environments.

  • Design optimized firewall and intrusion prevention system (IPS) rule structures and ensure adherence to security standards.

  • Monitor and maintain the health and performance of firewall and IPS systems, recommending improvements where necessary.

  • Research, evaluate, design, test, and implement new network security technologies.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including security procedures and complex network schematics.

  • Provide support and guidance to network engineering teams on security best practices.

  • Analyze technical and business requirements to determine efficient and secure solutions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of IT experience (internships, capstones, and additional experience may be considered toward total experience).

  • Active Top Secret clearance required (SCI eligibility required).

  • Strong hands-on experience with at least 3-4 of the following technologies:

  • Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) (upgrade, licensing, deployment)

  • Cisco Firepower (maintenance, upgrade, deployment)

  • Cisco ASA to Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) migrations

  • Cisco 802.1X deployments

  • DMVPN design and deployment (CNSSP-15 compliant)

  • Juniper ADVPN

  • Strong understanding of routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.

  • Experience designing and maintaining secure enterprise network infrastructures.

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; equivalent experience or certifications may substitute.

  • CCNP Security or CCNP Enterprise certifications strongly preferred; CCDP preferred.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to operate independently in a secure environment.
