• Software License Inventory and Tracking:\n \n

• Establish and maintain a comprehensive and accurate inventory of all software licenses used within the program, including perpetual, subscription, cloud-based, open-source, and other licensing models. \n

• Implement and manage tools or processes for tracking license allocation, usage, and renewal dates. \n

• Regularly audit license counts and usage against procurement records and agreements. \n \n

• License Procurement and Renewal Support:\n \n

• Assist in the procurement process for new software licenses, working closely with procurement and technical teams to define requirements and evaluate options. \n

• Monitor license renewal dates and proactively initiate renewal processes, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders. \n

• Review license agreements and terms and conditions to understand usage rights, restrictions, and compliance requirements. \n \n

• License Compliance and Risk Management:\n \n

• Ensure the program is compliant with all software license agreements and terms of service. \n

• Identify and mitigate potential licensing risks, such as overuse, unauthorized use, or license expirations. \n

• Support internal and external software audits by providing accurate and complete licensing information. \n

• Develop and implement policies and procedures for software license usage and management within the program. \n \n

• License Optimization and Cost Management\n \n

• Analyze license usage data to identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings. \n

• Recommend strategies for reallocating license, consolidating vendors, or exploring alternative licensing models. \n

• Support the development of software licensing budgets and track expenditures. \n \n

• Reporting and Communication:\n \n

• Generate regular reports on license inventory, usage, compliance status, and upcoming renewals for program leadership and stakeholders. \n

• Communicate effectively with technical teams, developers, and end-users regarding licensing policies, procedures, and updates \n

• Serve as a point of contact for software license-related questions and issues. \n \n

• Vendor Management\n \n

• Build and maintain relationships with key software vendors. \n

• Participate in vendor meetings to stay informed about licensing changes, new products, and best practices. \n \n

We are seeking detail-oriented and proactive Systems Analysts to be responsible for the comprehensive management of all software licenses within a proprietary program. These individuals will play a critical role in ensuring licensing compliance, optimizing license utilization, and supporting the program’s software needs, to include demand forecasting. The ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of various licensing models, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the technical teams, procurement, and vendors., This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required., * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. \n

• 3+ years of experience in IT asset management, software license management, or a related role \n, * Active Secret Clearance \n

• Experience managing EVM, budgeting and working knowledge of Agile framework \n

• Strong understanding of various software licensing models (perpetual, subscription, cloud, user-based, device-based, etc.). \n

• Familiarity with common software vendors and their licensing practices (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, etc.). \n

• Experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM) or Software Asset Management (SAM) tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, Snow Software, etc.). \n

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. \n

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. \n

• Ability to interpret and understand legal license agreements. \n

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. \n

• Proficiency in using spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets) for data analysis and reporting. \n

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. \n

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. \n

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: $99,450 - $134,550
