Job description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Inventory Specialist to join our team in Trenton, NJ. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who thrives in a warehouse/office environment and has strong inventory management and quality inspection experience. The ideal candidate will be organized, hands-on, and comfortable balancing administrative inventory tasks with warehouse responsibilities., * Record, monitor, and maintain inventory to ensure products are accurately stocked and stored.
- Develop and improve inventory management procedures to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
- Receive incoming materials, unload shipments, verify received materials against bills of lading and invoices, and inspect for damages.
- Distribute merchandise and materials to the appropriate departments.
- Place parts into inventory bins and perform routine cycle counts.
- Conduct quality inspections on stored inventory and remove items that do not meet company standards.
- Track and maintain sample inventory.
- Control product flow and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Inspect finished products using industry-appropriate quality methods, including comparing to standards, measuring dimensions, and testing functionality.
- Review blueprints and product specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Inspect fabric composition, weight, thickness, print alignment, and pattern consistency.
- Examine stitching quality to ensure consistency and identify loose threads or skipped stitching.
- Inspect garments for visible defects, including stains, fabric flaws, dye inconsistencies, and print or embroidery issues.
- Test garment features such as zippers, buttons, hooks, and snaps to ensure proper functionality.
- Verify labels, sizing, care instructions, and brand information for accuracy.
- Identify fabric, construction, print, and sizing defects.
- Coordinate products for market and road shows, including picking, packing, and shipping.
- Assist warehouse operations as needed, including receiving, picking, packing, and cycle counts.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Written communication?, * Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, quality control, or a related role preferred.
- Strong computer skills with experience using Excel, Word, spreadsheets, planners, Outlook, and inventory systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in both an office and warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift and move inventory/materials as needed., * Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must have a clear background and drug screening.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required., * Cycle counts: 1 year (Required)
- Inventory management: 1 year (Required)
- Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Required)
