Cyber Data Protection/PKI Specialist Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this Senior Consultant role, you advise clients on data protection and encryption strategies, with a focus on PKI and certificate lifecycle management across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments. You lead design, implementation, and operationalization of encryption programs, while guiding delivery teams to ensure high-quality client outcomes. You stay current on emerging crypto technologies and advocate for innovative data security tools. This role combines technical leadership with client-facing collaboration to strengthen cyber postures. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as SME and advisor on data protection, encryption, and secure key management * Design, implement, and operate encryption strategies across enviroments (cloud/on-premises/hybrid) and PKI lifecycle management * Lead client engagements with day-to-day execution, updates to clients and leadership, and delivery quality * Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure on-time, on-budget results * Stay updated on emerging encryption technologies and industry trends; evaluate new tools for data security * Support strategy, architecture, and roadmap workstreams for data protection programs * Identify and advocate for improvements in tooling and processes to enhance data security Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in a related field * 5+ years in data protection and information security * 5+ years with PKI concepts (certificates, CAs, RA, CSR, OCSP, CRL, HSM, key management) * 2+ years implementing various encryption technologies and CLM * 2+ years CLM platforms (e.g., AppViewX, Venafi, Keyfactor, DigiCert) * 2+ years cryptographic standards and protocols (TLS/SSL, SSH, S/MIME, code signing) * 2+ years certificate discovery, automation, renewal, and compliance monitoring * 2+ years client-facing skills and executive communication * 2+ years leading small teams/workstreams * Willingness to travel 25-50% * Professional certifications such as CISSP or CISM (preferred) Key requirements *
