Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role you help clients strengthen data governance and compliance by designing and deploying Microsoft Purview solutions. You will work across assessment, design, implementation, and optimization to support data classification, labeling, and governance at scale. You engage with cross-functional teams to drive secure, compliant operations and reduce risk. This position offers direct client impact, shaping transformation in data governance, information protection, and regulatory readiness. Compensation / Benefits * Assess client data governance and compliance environments and propose Microsoft Purview capabilities * Design and implement Purview solutions for classification, labeling, retention, and governance * Conduct health checks, discovery, and remediation for Purview deployments (audit, privileged access, policy reviews) * Support proof of concept, deployment, integration, and post-implementation activities for Purview and related Microsoft security/compliance tools * Advise on data governance strategy, lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and operating model improvements Tasks * 4+ years in technical consulting, problem-solving, solution architecture or design for Microsoft Purview or related data governance technologies * 4+ years hands-on experience implementing or operating Purview capabilities (classification, labeling, protection, eDiscovery, DLP, compliance reporting) * 4+ years designing and implementing data governance or compliance controls across Microsoft environments * Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, information technology, or business administration * Ability to travel up to 50% Key requirements * discretionary annual incentive program * travel up to 50% * competitive compensation range * accommodations for disability * professional development opportunities * global culture and mentorship
