Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role you will shape and deliver Microsoft Purview solutions within Deloitte’s Cyber practice, helping clients design, implement, and optimize data governance and compliance capabilities. You will work on large-scale transformations across assessment, design, and deployment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen security posture. You’ll address governance, classification, labeling, and policy enforcement to enable compliant, risk-aware operations. This is a client-facing, impact-driven opportunity at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Assess client data governance and compliance environments and develop Purview-based recommendations (DLP, Compliance Manager, eDiscovery, Information Protection) * Design and implement Purview solutions for data classification, labeling, retention, investigation and governance * Conduct technical health checks, discovery, and remediation for Purview deployments (audit, privileged access, policy reviews) * Support proof of concept, deployment, integration, and post-implementation activities for Purview and related Microsoft security/ compliance tech * Advise clients on data governance strategy, lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and operating model improvements to strengthen security and reduce risk Tasks * 4+ years in technical consulting, solution architecture/design for Microsoft Purview or Microsoft data governance/compliance tech * 4+ years hands-on experience implementing or operating Purview capabilities (classification, labeling, protection, eDiscovery, DLP, compliance reporting) * 4+ years designing and implementing data governance or compliance controls across Microsoft environments * Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, information technology, or business administration * Ability to travel up to 50% and willingness to work with clients in diverse industries * Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Key requirements * discretionary annual incentive program * travel up to 50%
