Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview As part of Deloitte’s Cyber team, you drive data governance and regulatory compliance initiatives using Microsoft Purview at scale. You’ll work directly with clients on transformation programs across assessment, design, and implementation to strengthen security and compliance posture. You’ll shape governance models, classifications, and policy configurations across enterprise environments. This role offers collaboration with cross-functional teams and hands-on advisory impact in a dynamic, client-facing setting. Compensation / Benefits * Assess client data governance and compliance environments and develop Purview capability recommendations (including DLP, Compliance Manager, eDiscovery, Information Protection) * Design and implement Purview solutions for data classification, labeling, retention, and governance * Perform technical health checks, discovery, and remediation for Purview deployments (audit, privileged access, policy reviews) * Support proof of concept, deployment, integration, and post-implementation activities for Purview and adjacent Microsoft security tools * Advise clients on data governance strategy, lifecycle management, and operating model improvements to reduce risk and strengthen security posture Tasks * 4+ years in technical consulting, problem-solving, solution architecture, or design for Microsoft Purview or data governance technologies * 4+ years hands-on experience implementing or operating Purview capabilities (classification, labeling, protection, eDiscovery, DLP, compliance reporting) * 4+ years designing and implementing data governance or compliance controls across Microsoft environments * Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, information technology, or business administration * Ability to travel up to 50% * Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Key requirements * discretionary annual incentive program * travel up to 50% * competitive compensation range ($105,400 - $207,800) * accommodations for disabilities per Deloitte policies * opportunity for professional development and certifications * inclusion and mentorship opportunities
