Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role you help clients transform data governance and compliance with Microsoft Purview, aligning governance, protection, and regulatory needs. You’ll work on large-scale engagements across assessment, design, and deployment of Purview capabilities to strengthen security posture. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful governance solutions and continuous optimization. This is an opportunity to shape data governance programs for diverse clients within Deloitte’s Cyber practice. Compensation / Benefits * Assess client data governance and compliance environments and develop Purview-based recommendations (DLP, Compliance Manager, eDiscovery, Information Protection) * Design and implement Purview solutions for data classification, labeling, retention, investigation, and governance * Perform health checks, discovery, and remediation for Purview deployments (audit, privileged access, policy reviews) * Support proof of concept, deployment, integration, and post-implementation activities for Purview and related Microsoft security tools * Advise on data governance strategy, lifecycle management, and operating model improvements to strengthen security and reduce risk Tasks * 4+ years in technical consulting, client problem-solving, solution architecture, or solution design for Microsoft Purview or related data governance technologies * 4+ years hands-on experience implementing or operating Microsoft Purview capabilities (data classification, labeling, protection, eDiscovery, DLP, compliance reporting) * 4+ years designing and implementing data governance or compliance controls across Microsoft environments * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields * Ability to travel up to 50% * Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Key requirements * discretionary annual incentive program * reasonable accommodations * travel opportunities up to 50% (role-related)
