Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role you help clients design and implement Microsoft Purview to advance data governance, protection, and regulatory compliance. You’ll work on large-scale transformation projects across assessment, design, deployment, and ongoing optimization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen client security posture. The role combines technical enablement with advisory work to shape governance models and operating procedures. A meaningful hook is helping clients scale governance with Microsoft Purview to reduce risk and improve compliance. Compensation / Benefits * Assess client data governance and compliance environments and propose Purview capabilities (DLP, Compliance Manager, eDiscovery, Information Protection) * Design and implement Purview solutions for data classification, labeling, retention, investigation, and governance across enterprise environments * Conduct health checks, discovery, and remediation for Purview deployments including audit and policy configuration reviews * Support PoC, deployment, integration, and post-implementation activities for Purview and related Microsoft security tools * Advise clients on governance strategy, lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and operating model improvements Tasks * 4+ years of technical consulting, client problem-solving, solution architecture, or design for Microsoft Purview or similar data governance tech * 4+ years hands-on experience implementing or operating Purview capabilities (data classification, labeling, protection, eDiscovery, DLP, or compliance reporting) * 4+ years designing and implementing data governance or compliance controls in Microsoft environments (including integrations) * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, information technology, or business administration * Ability to travel up to 50% (based on client needs) * Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Key requirements *
