Senior Databricks Forward Deployed Engineer - GPS

Experteer Overview As a Senior Databricks FDE, you will rapidly prototype and deliver GenAI-enabled solutions in a client-facing setting, collaborating with senior stakeholders and engineers to generate immediate business impact. You’ll embed with government and public-sector clients to translate needs into scalable AI platforms and workflows. The role blends hands-on engineering with solution shaping, mentoring, and contributing reusable assets to a broader AI and data platform strategy. You will work within a cross-functional team to drive end-to-end delivery and ensure value realization. Compensation / Benefits * Embed with clients to identify business needs and translate GenAI use cases into solutions * Partner with leaders, product owners, architects, and engineers to align priorities and delivery * Lead working sessions to shape solutions and drive client outcomes * Prototype and deliver working AI solutions using industry expertise and emerging capabilities * Contribute independently within an FDE pod while mentoring newer team members * Coach client teams and end users on platform capabilities and AI enablement * Drive end-to-end sales and delivery support with demos/POCs, proposals, and knowledge transfer * Mentor other FDEs through design/code reviews and build reusable intellectual capital Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Engineering * 7+ years of software/data/analytics engineering experience * 5+ years building and deploying GenAI/LLM-powered solutions * 5+ years Databricks experience with Lakeflow Connect, Lakebase, Agent Bricks, Model Serving, Genie, or Databricks Apps * 5+ years leading project workstreams and translating business problems into AI solutions * 3+ years building production-grade code with CI/CD in Databricks * Ability to travel ~50% * Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship * Preferred: active US government security clearance, Databricks certifications, cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) Key requirements *
