Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role you help clients design and deploy Microsoft Purview to strengthen data governance, protection, and regulatory compliance. You will work on large-scale transformation efforts from assessment to optimization, collaborating with cross-functional teams and directly impacting clients’ security posture. You’ll lead Purview-focused initiatives and advise on governance strategy, lifecycle management, and operating models. This is a hands-on, client-facing role that combines technical design with strategic guidance to reduce risk and improve compliance. Compensation / Benefits * Assess client data governance and compliance environments and craft recommendations for Purview capabilities (DLP, Compliance Manager, eDiscovery, Information Protection) * Design and implement Purview solutions for data classification, labeling, retention, investigation, and governance across enterprise environments * Perform health checks, discovery, and remediation for Purview deployments (audit, privileged access, policy reviews) * Support proof of concept, deployment, integration, and post-implementation work for Purview and related Microsoft security tools * Advise clients on data governance strategy, lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and operating model improvements to strengthen security and reduce risk Tasks * 4+ years of experience in technical consulting, problem-solving, solution architecture/design for Microsoft Purview or data governance technologies * 4+ years hands-on experience implementing or operating Purview capabilities (classification, labeling, protection, eDiscovery, DLP, compliance reporting) * 4+ years designing and implementing data governance or compliance controls across Microsoft environments, including integrations * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, IT, or business administration * Ability to travel up to 50% * Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Key requirements *
