IT 2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer

We’re partnered with an established and growing Managed Service Provider looking for an experienced 3rd Line Support & Project Engineer to join their technical team. This is a senior-level opportunity combining advanced technical support, infrastructure projects, cloud technologies, networking, and customer-facing consultancy.

This role is ideal for an engineer who wants to move beyond traditional 3rd Line support and take ownership of complex infrastructure projects and technical solutions. You’ll act as a senior escalation point for customers while also designing, implementing, and supporting modern infrastructure across a varied client base.

You’ll gain significant exposure across Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Entra ID, networking, firewalls, virtualization, security, RMM, and automation. You’ll also have the opportunity to lead projects including cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, network deployments, and security initiatives, working closely with customers and internal technical teams.

• Strong hands-on networking experience covering switching, firewalls, wireless, VLANs, VPNs, routing and network security
• Strong Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure and Entra ID experience
• Excellent knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IP, VLANs, ACLs, routing, firewalling and VPNs
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy experience
• Experience with Hyper-V virtualization
• Experience with PowerShell, scripting and automation
• Experience with RMM platforms
• Experience planning and delivering IT projects
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills
• Recognized networking certification such as CCNA or equivalent is desirable
• MSP experience is essential

• £45,000 - £47,000 Salary
