Job description

We are seeking a skilled Test Technician to join our manufacturing team in Jefferson City, producing high-quality chillers for data centers. This role involves performing final product testing and validation to ensure all units leaving the production line meet performance specifications and quality standards. You will use test equipment, diagnostic tools, and technical documentation to verify product functionality and identify defects before shipment. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional tests on finished products based on established procedures.
  • Interpret test results and diagnose product failures or non-conformance.
  • Document and report testing results, including anomalies and recommended actions.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve product issues.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring test failures or process inefficiencies.
  • Participate in quality investigations and structured problem-solving using tools and methodologies for issues identified by external customer complaints and internal concerns, engaging other departments in problem-solving investigations.

Undertaking all aspects of testing requirements, specifically:

  • Pressure Test, Evacuation, and Charging
  • Refrigeration performance testing
  • Electrical component testing
  • Mechanical/electrical installations
  • Testing design TD at required waterflows and pressure drops
  • Building test rigs and assisting with test plans

Requirements

  • 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing industry.
  • Electrical and mechanical knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment preferred.
  • Computer and report writing skills essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspections.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions (standing, bending, kneeling, etc.) for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, including proper handling of gases and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in refrigeration/HVAC would be an advantage., The physical and mental requirements described in this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
