Systems Engineer 3

Applies an interdisciplinary approach to plan, design, develop, and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluates customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements. Integrates technical parameters and assures compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces. Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and system architecture. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, and product assurance. Integrates specialty quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Develops planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements management processes and tools. Manages risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolves cross-functional technical issues across system integration. Evaluates system solutions and architectures to meet mission and program requirements.

Active Secret Security Clearance required to start. Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR). Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of experience. Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 3+ years of experience. Experience with system of systems and system solution development. Experience defining and coordinating system performance requirements. Experience with system architecture analysis and optimization. Experience with requirements management processes and tools. Experience with risk, issues, and opportunity management. Experience with technology readiness assessment processes. Preferred: Experience with military customer, aircraft, military aircraft, or fighter aircraft programs., Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) to comply with ITAR regulations.
