Job description
The Junior Digital Project Coordinator supports our delivery teams by keeping complex technical projects organized and on schedule. In this role, you will assist in managing specific work streams for a Brussels-based client that is currently updating their financial reporting infrastructure. This is a full-time, fully remote position designed for someone who enjoys structured work and has an interest in how finance systems are built.
About Alpine Business Consulting Alpine Business Consulting works at the intersection of finance processes and the systems that support them. We specialize in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and analytics, helping finance teams fix platforms that never delivered on their promises. While we build new systems from scratch, much of our work involves remediating existing setups in Oracle EPM, SAP BPC, and Power BI. We focus on the numbers side of the house, ensuring that consolidation rules, intercompany eliminations, and reporting pipelines reflect how a finance team actually operates. Our approach moves away from typical implementation theatre. We prioritize finance-first configurations and fixed-price engagements, giving our clients certainty before any work begins. We do not believe in keeping clients dependent on us. Instead, we build administrator training and documentation into every project so teams can run their systems independently after go-live. We are a remote-first team of consultants who understand that a dashboard is only useful if the data is accurate to the cent and available the morning a period closes. Whether it is a cloud migration or a complex forecasting model, we value precision over presentation.
What You Will Do
- Maintain and update project schedules to ensure every phase of the implementation stays on track.
- Assist in drafting technical documentation, user guides, and administrator manuals for finance teams.
- Coordinate meetings between our consulting team and client stakeholders, ensuring clear notes and action items are captured.
- Monitor project logs to track configuration issues or data discrepancies during the testing phases.
- Support the preparation of status reports for the Brussels-based project leads and internal management.
- Verify that all project folders and digital assets are maintained in a clean, logical structure.
- Help with basic data validation tasks to ensure numbers in a new system match the source data from the client.
- Track time logs and resource allocation to help the project manager stay within the agreed scope.
Requirements
- Strong organizational habits and the ability to track multiple moving parts at once without losing focus.
- Basic familiarity with spreadsheet software like Excel or project management tools.
- A background or interest in business, finance, accounting, or information systems.
- Clear, direct communication skills, particularly the ability to explain timelines and requirements simply.
- An eye for detail that notices when a number or a deadline is slightly off.
- Technical curiosity and a willingness to learn the basics of Enterprise Performance Management systems.
- Self-discipline to work effectively in a permanent remote setting without needing constant supervision.
- A pragmatic approach to problem solving and a focus on getting tasks finished correctly.
Benefits & conditions
- A permanent, full-time position with a focus on professional growth in the business consulting sector.
- Competitive pay that reflects the responsibilities of the role and the current market standards.
- A fully remote work environment that allows for a focused and professional daily routine.
- Direct exposure to complex financial systems and the logic used by large organizations.
- A culture that values technical accuracy and practical results over corporate posturing.
- The chance to work on significant engagements, such as our current project with a Brussels-based organization.
How We Work Our philosophy is built on clarity and client independence. We avoid the open-ended, hourly billing models that often lead to project bloat. By using fixed-price engagements and clearly defined scopes, we ensure that both our team and our clients know exactly what to expect. We do not want to be a permanent fixture in a client’s office or system. Our goal is to set up a robust, accurate environment, document it thoroughly, and train the client to manage it themselves. This requires our project coordinators to be meticulous with documentation and timelines, ensuring that every transition is smooth and every system is ready for independent operation.
