The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is looking for a Roadway Programs Technician 1 in Washington County. In this position, you will be essential in evaluating inventory needs through stockpile assessments and ensuring that contractor activities comply with departmental standards. Requirements

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience as a Technical Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment and graduation from high school or GED equivalent; or
  • An Associate’s Degree in a field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or other closely related program; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Shift work necessary in the winter to cover the needs of the Winter Maintenance Program
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
