Roadway Programs Technician 1

As a Roadway Programs Technician 1, you will perform the following duties:

• Plan Review: Analyze work plans and help adjust program needs for labor, materials, and equipment
• Data Analysis: Review information from Systems Applications and Products (SAP) and Roadway Management System (RMS) systems to support goals and maintain program accuracy
• Field Monitoring: Observe maintenance work in the field and gather data to support development of work standards
• Inventory Control: Track materials, monitor stockpile levels, and complete goods receipt entries in SAP
• Damage Assessment: Inspect guiderail and roadway damage, prepare reports, and coordinate repairs with contractors
• Contract Oversight: Monitor roadside service contracts and verify that completed work meets expectations

• One year of experience as a Technical Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment and graduation from high school or GED equivalent; or
• An Associate’s Degree in a field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or other closely related program; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

• This particular position also requires possession of a current driver’s license which is not under suspension.

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Overtime and shift work are required. Work hours are subject to change based upon seasonal requirements and operational needs.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $41,506.00 (before taxes).
