Entry-Level GIS Technician

The GIS Technician will support various electric distribution projects and perform data maintenance tasks for complex and high-priority projects. This role involves using GIS and CAD software with moderate oversight to ensure the accuracy and completeness of electric distribution construction data., * Reference as-builts, work management logs, and other documentation to update GIS data reflecting completed electric distribution construction.

• Identify data inconsistencies and communicate with relevant resources to provide accurate data updates to client systems.
• Obtain and manipulate GIS data at state and municipality levels.
• Participate in meetings with teammates, clients, and other stakeholders to collaborate and provide input.
• Work in an Agile team environment, emphasizing collaboration and feedback to produce high-quality work that meets client standards.
• Complete engineering design work and deliverables to the client.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to perform both field and office work, with 10-20% overnight travel required.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and perform field data collection.
• Ability to utilize a personal vehicle.
