Job description

As a senior data analyst on the Claims Control Staffing team, you’ll provide critical analytical support to the Commercial Lines Claims organization by delivering insights and recommendations that inform both strategic and operational decisions. You’ll own the production and continuous enhancement of staffing models and key staffing reports, improving their accuracy and delivering meaningful insights that help our partners run their business. Additionally, you’ll lead the budgeting and planning process for people-related costs, partnering with Commercial Lines Product and Claims leaders to understand future direction and translate staffing strategies into a robust, forward-looking budget. This role offers significant exposure to all levels of leadership, including Process and Claims Business Leaders, General Managers, and the Claims President. In this role, you’ll own outcomes, influence decisions, and elevate how data powers the business by blending analytics, business strategy, financial planning, and storytelling.

Remote work allowed with travel to the Progressive Headquarters for team events 3-4 times per year.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Data analytics?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * A minimum of six years of analytical work experience.

  • {OR} Bachelor’s degree or higher and a minimum of five years of analytical work experience.
  • {OR} Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field of study and a minimum of three years analytical work experience.

Preferred skills

  • High proficiency in programming skills, such as SQL, SAS, or R.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills with the ability to draw conclusions, recommend solutions, and explain complex analytical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Proven negotiation skills and the ability to influence others through education and information sharing
