Job description

  • Gathering and clarifying data requirements from business stakeholders
  • Analysing data quality issues and implementing solutions to improve accuracy and consistency
  • Supporting the alignment of data pipelines to ensure reliable data flow
  • Conducting financial and operational analysis to support decision-making
  • Engaging with stakeholders to communicate findings and translate data into actionable recommendations
  • Documenting data processes, assumptions and quality metrics
  • Collaborating with technical teams to optimise data workflows and performance, Most roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role:

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in data analysis, data quality assurance or related analytical roles
  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Excel
  • Experience working with data pipelines and understanding data requirements gathering
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
  • Familiarity with financial or operational analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, data science, business analytics or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have experience could include Python scripting, Azure or AWS cloud platforms, or exposure to SAP systems.
