Job description

  • Gathering and documenting data requirements from internal stakeholders and business teams
  • Analysing data quality issues and implementing solutions to improve data integrity
  • Building and maintaining data pipelines that align analytical outputs with business needs
  • Engaging with stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and translate them into actionable insights
  • Performing financial and operational analysis to support decision-making
  • Creating reports and visualisations using tools such as Power BI and Excel
  • Collaborating with data engineering and business teams to ensure seamless data flow
  • Documenting data processes and maintaining clear audit trails

Requirements

This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Data Analyst positions on a contract basis, working within a dynamic team that values analytical rigour and collaborative problem-solving. Roles of this type could see you based in Manchester, Greater Manchester, working on meaningful projects where your ability to analyse complex datasets and communicate findings clearly could make a tangible difference to how the business operates and grows., * Demonstrated experience in data requirements gathering and pipeline alignment

  • Proven ability to analyse data quality and implement improvements
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate business needs into analytical solutions
  • Proficiency with SQL and data analysis tools such as Power BI or Excel
  • Experience with financial and operational analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related quantitative discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset

Nice-to-have

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
  • Knowledge of Python or other programming languages for data manipulation
  • Familiarity with data pipeline tools or ETL processes
  • Background in CSDR or data governance frameworks
