About the opportunity
This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Data Specialist positions where you could contribute to the design, development and optimisation of data pipelines and analytical solutions. Roles of this type may involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, ensure data quality and align data infrastructure with business objectives. You could work with modern data technologies and platforms to transform raw data into actionable insights for stakeholders across the organisation.
What you would do
Typical responsibilities could include:
- Gathering and analysing data requirements from business stakeholders
- Designing and developing data pipelines to support analytical needs
- Conducting data quality analysis and implementing improvements
- Collaborating with engineering and operations teams on data infrastructure alignment
- Supporting the creation and maintenance of data models and documentation
- Engaging with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions
- Contributing to the optimisation of existing data processes and systems
Requirements
- Strong foundation in SQL and data quality principles
- Experience with data pipeline development and maintenance
- Familiarity with at least one data visualisation or analytics platform (such as Power BI)
- Solid understanding of data requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java or similar)
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related quantitative field
- Ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams
Nice-to-have qualifications include experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP), knowledge of financial analysis, exposure to distributed systems concepts, or a Master’s degree in a related discipline.
