Job description

This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Data Specialist positions based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Roles of this type typically sit within collaborative teams where data insight drives business outcomes. You could work on projects involving data requirements gathering, pipeline alignment and quality analysis, partnering across stakeholders to ensure data supports informed decision-making. The position is offered on a contract basis at £400-500 per day.

What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

  • Gathering and documenting data requirements from business and technical stakeholders
  • Analysing data pipelines and quality to identify gaps, inconsistencies and improvement opportunities
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align data collection, storage and delivery standards
  • Producing data quality reports and recommendations for pipeline optimisation
  • Supporting financial and operational analysis through accurate data interpretation
  • Engaging with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical data specifications
  • Contributing to data governance and quality assurance processes, Most roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role:

Requirements

  • Proven experience in data requirements gathering, data quality analysis or related analytical work
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel for data manipulation and analysis
  • Familiarity with data pipeline concepts and data quality frameworks
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related quantitative field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Authorization to work in the United Kingdom
