Job description

This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Data Engineer positions within organisations that are scaling their data capabilities. Roles of this type may sit within collaborative engineering teams focused on building reliable, scalable data infrastructure. The work could involve designing and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data quality standards, gathering requirements from stakeholders, and contributing to the alignment between data systems and business needs. You could work across cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP, using tools and practices such as CI/CD, containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code approaches like Terraform., * Designing, building and maintaining data pipelines that deliver reliable, quality-assured data to stakeholders

  • Supporting data requirements gathering and working to understand stakeholder needs across the organisation
  • Monitoring and improving data quality, implementing validation and testing frameworks
  • Contributing to pipeline alignment and ensuring data systems work effectively with downstream analytics and business intelligence tools
  • Working with distributed systems, microservices and APIs to integrate data from multiple sources
  • Supporting deployment and infrastructure work using CI/CD practices, containerisation and orchestration tools
  • Collaborating with data analysts, engineers and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions
  • Contributing to documentation, code review and knowledge-sharing within the team, * Opportunity to work on modern, scalable data infrastructure that supports real business intelligence and decision-making

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of data pipeline design, data quality principles and data architecture
  • Working knowledge of SQL and at least one programming language such as Python, Java or similar
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and modern software development approaches
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

  • Master’s degree · Google Cloud Data Engineer certification
  • Experience with distributed systems, microservices and APIs
  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
  • Familiarity with data pipeline tools, workflow orchestration or BI platforms such as Power BI
  • Knowledge of domain-specific frameworks or enterprise systems
