Job description

Data Engineers could play a crucial role in designing, building and maintaining the robust data infrastructure that powers modern analytics and business intelligence. Roles of this type focus on creating efficient data pipelines, ensuring data quality and enabling organisations to extract value from their data assets., This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Data Engineer positions within a fast-moving technology environment. Roles of this type typically sit within collaborative teams responsible for architecting and delivering scalable data solutions that support business intelligence, analytics and operational reporting across the organisation., * Designing and building data pipelines that extract, transform and load data from multiple sources

  • Ensuring data quality, consistency and accuracy across systems and stakeholders
  • Collaborating with data analysts, business intelligence teams and stakeholders to gather and align data requirements
  • Implementing and optimising data infrastructure using cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
  • Working with technologies such as Python, SQL and data pipeline tools to support analytics workloads
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of data architecture standards and best practices
  • Supporting the integration of data systems and ensuring smooth data flow across the organisation
  • Documenting data processes, pipelines and technical specifications for team reference

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in data engineering, data infrastructure or related roles
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data pipeline development
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform
  • Familiarity with Python or other programming languages used in data contexts
  • Understanding of data quality principles, data governance and data requirements gathering
  • Experience with data tools, ETL processes or modern data stack technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with non-technical stakeholders

Nice-to-have experience could include:

  • Master’s degree qualification
  • Google Cloud Data Engineer certification
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker or containerisation
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
  • Familiarity with distributed systems or microservices architecture
  • Experience working in agile or fast-paced development environments
