Data Architect

Organisations increasingly depend on robust data architecture to integrate systems, manage information flow and enable decision-making at scale. Roles of this type may sit within technology teams modernising legacy data environments, building cloud-native pipelines or designing microservices-based solutions. You could contribute to defining data requirements, aligning pipeline design with business needs, ensuring data quality and engaging stakeholders across engineering, analytics and operations., * Contributing to the design and evolution of data systems, pipelines and integration patterns

• Gathering and analysing data requirements from business and technical stakeholders
• Collaborating with engineers and data teams to align pipeline architecture with organisational goals
• Supporting data quality assessments and helping define quality standards and processes
• Working with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes) to support scalable data solutions
• Documenting data architecture decisions, system models and design patterns

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience in data architecture or systems design
• Working knowledge of data pipeline design, data quality principles and ETL/ELT concepts
• Experience with SQL, relational databases and modern data platforms
• Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS or GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of microservices architecture, APIs and distributed systems
• Ability to gather requirements, document specifications and engage technical and business stakeholders
• Authorisation to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

• Experience with SAP environments (S/4HANA, ECC, RISE)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and DevOps practices
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java or .NET
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks or quality management systems
• Experience with Power BI or similar analytics tools
