Job description

This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Data Architect opportunities, roles that could involve designing and optimising data systems to support organisational growth and analytical capability. Roles of this type may sit within a collaborative technology environment where you could work across multiple teams to shape how data flows, is processed and is made accessible across the business., * Designing end-to-end data architectures and pipelines that align with business and technical requirements

  • Gathering and analysing data requirements from stakeholders across the organisation
  • Defining data quality standards and frameworks to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Collaborating with engineering, analytics and operations teams to implement scalable solutions
  • Evaluating and recommending technology platforms, tools and services to meet current and future needs
  • Documenting data models, system designs and architectural decisions using tools such as UML and BPMN
  • Supporting the migration, integration and optimisation of data systems across on-premise and cloud environments
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members in data architecture practices

Requirements

  • Experience designing and implementing data architectures, pipelines and data quality frameworks
  • Strong experience with SQL and relational database design
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Experience with APIs, microservices and distributed systems architecture
  • Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Data requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement and pipeline alignment skills
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
  • Ability to work in London on a contract basis

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with SAP environments (S/4HANA, ECC, RISE)
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java or .NET
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
  • Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools such as Power BI
  • Familiarity with regulated industries or compliance frameworks such as CSDR
