Data Architect

• Designing data architectures that support scalable, distributed systems across cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) and on-premises environments
• Defining data pipelines, integration patterns and API strategies to align with business and technical requirements
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and translate data requirements into technical specifications
• Ensuring data quality standards, governance frameworks and compliance controls are embedded in architecture design
• Working with engineering teams to implement solutions using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, microservices and CI/CD practices
• Supporting pipeline alignment and performance optimisation across SQL databases and data processing systems

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience in data architecture or systems design
• Demonstrated experience designing data architectures within distributed systems, cloud platforms or enterprise environments
• Technical proficiency in SQL, data pipeline design and data quality analysis
• Working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS or GCP)
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) or CI/CD practices
• Strong stakeholder engagement and data requirements gathering skills
• Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with SAP systems (S/4HANA, ECC, RISE) or legacy enterprise applications
• Familiarity with microservices architectures, APIs and modern integration patterns
• Knowledge of data governance, CSDR compliance or quality management systems
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform) or scripting (Bash, Python)
• Understanding of BPMN, UML or enterprise architecture frameworks
