Job description
You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, supporting the day-to-day running of our reception while working closely with technicians, management, and our fleet operations team to ensure vehicles are maintained safely and efficiently., * Greeting customers in person, over the phone, and via email with a friendly and professional approach.
- Booking in vehicles for servicing, repairs, MOTs, and inspections.
- Scheduling maintenance, servicing, and safety checks for a large vehicle fleet.
- Keeping customers updated on repair progress and expected completion times.
- Contacting customers to obtain approval for any additional work required.
- Liaising with technicians and management to ensure work is completed efficiently.
- Producing invoices and processing customer payments.
- Ordering vehicle parts and monitoring stock levels.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all mandatory paperwork is up to date.
- Using internal systems to manage schedules and vehicle information.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming reception area.
- Providing administrative support and carrying out other reasonable duties as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ administration or receptionist experience.
- Previous experience working within a garage, workshop, or automotive environment is essential.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Good IT skills and experience working with computerised systems.
- Experience with scheduling, stock control, and ordering parts.
- Able to work independently and use initiative.
- Reliable, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths are desirable., If you’re an organised, motivated individual with a passion for customer service and experience within the automotive industry, we’d love to hear from you.
