Platform Specialist

• Designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS environments
• Building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines to accelerate application delivery
• Containerizing applications using Docker and Kubernetes, coordinating deployment across distributed systems
• Supporting microservices architecture and API-driven integration patterns
• Collaborating with development teams using .NET, ASP.NET, Java, Spring Boot and Python codebases
• Managing infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and shell scripting (Bash, Linux, Windows)
• Contributing to system performance, reliability and scalability improvements
• Supporting data pipeline and quality initiatives where relevant to platform stability
• Participating in on-call support and incident response as part of the platform delivery cycle, Most roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tooling and automation practices
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, Terraform or similar tools
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments
• Working knowledge of APIs, microservices and distributed systems architecture
• SQL and database concepts; experience with at least one programming or scripting language (Python, Bash, Java, .NET)
• Understanding of network concepts, security principles and compliance where relevant to infrastructure

Nice-to-have:

• SAP systems experience (SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP RISE)
• Data pipeline and data quality tooling
• BPMN, UML, CSDR or similar architecture and compliance frameworks
• Power BI or advanced monitoring and observability platforms
• Kubernetes cluster management at scale
• Security certifications or SMSTS / First Aid qualifications
