Role details
Tech stack
Job description
Weâre a fast-scaling, entrepreneurial business, and increasingly a tech business at heart. Weâre looking for someone to own our data backbone (Power BI, dashboards, reporting) and use that as the launchpad to bring practical AI tooling into how we work.
This isnât a âbuild a dashboard and move onâ role, and it isnât a âplay with ChatGPTâ role either. We need someone grounded enough in real data (sales, service, operations) to know whatâs actually true, and curious enough about AI to spot where it can save time, cut cost, or sharpen decisions across the business. Youâll be the analytical engine behind leadershipâs decisions, and increasingly the person who asks âcould AI do this better?â and then goes and proves it.
What youâll do
Data & reporting
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards covering sales quality, data quality, and service quality metrics
- Regularly audit dashboard outputs against source data to catch broken feeds, drift, or definitional inconsistencies between regions or teams
- Flag anomalies and investigate them before they surface in a leadership meeting
- Run ad hoc deep-dives when a metric looks off, going beyond the dashboard to find the root cause
- Work with Financeâs MI function to keep metrics and definitions aligned across the business
AI & tooling
- Identify practical opportunities to apply AI across the business, canvassing and sales, customer service, ops, recruitment, reporting, and build working solutions, not just proposals
- Stay close to whatâs genuinely useful in the fast-moving AI tooling landscape, and bring the team relevant, applicable ideas rather than hype
- Prototype and implement AI-assisted workflows (e.g. automated customer communications, anomaly detection, churn signals) and own them once live
- Train and support the wider team in using AI tools effectively where it helps their day-to-day work
- Stay close to upstream changes (system migrations, new regions, process changes) that could affect data or break existing tooling
Requirements
Strong hands-on Power BI experience: data modelling, DAX, Power Query
- Working SQL knowledge, comfortable going under the hood to interrogate a number rather than taking it at face value
- Genuine hands-on experience building with AI tools, not just using them casually, but having shipped something (an automation, a workflow, an internal tool) that relied on them
- A naturally sceptical, detail-oriented mindset, someone who kicks the tyres rather than just delivering whatâs asked
- Experience working with operational data (sales, service, or field operations data is a strong plus)
- Confidence to challenge stakeholders, including senior leadership, when the data doesnât support the narrative
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, scaling business where processes and data sources change often
What success looks like
- Dashboards that leadership trusts without needing to double-check
- At least one AI-driven tool or workflow live in the business, saving real time or catching real problems
- Issues caught and flagged before they become visible problems
- A single, consistent view of âqualityâ that doesnât conflict with Financeâs numbers
- The wider team spending less time firefighting and more time acting on insight
