Infrastructure Engineer

Roles of this type sit at the heart of enterprise technology delivery, supporting the design, deployment and optimisation of systems that underpin critical business operations. You could work across hybrid cloud environments, contributing to the delivery of resilient infrastructure solutions., * Supporting the deployment and management of cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS environments

• Contributing to the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment workflows
• Managing containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Supporting infrastructure-as-code initiatives using Terraform and related tools
• Collaborating with development and operations teams to optimise system performance and reliability
• Maintaining and enhancing Linux and Windows-based systems
• Contributing to security and compliance initiatives, including DMZ architecture and network security best practices
• Troubleshooting infrastructure issues and documenting solutions, Most roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role:

• Solid experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP)
• Working knowledge of containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Proficiency with Linux and/or Windows system administration
• Strong scripting capabilities in Bash, Python or similar languages
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Right to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Experience with SAP infrastructure or SAP RISE implementations
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Power BI
• Understanding of network security concepts and DMZ architecture
• Experience with additional platforms or tools such as .NET, Java or Spring Boot environments
