Job description
This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Infrastructure Specialist roles based in Bristol. Roles of this type typically sit within engineering teams responsible for building and maintaining cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines and systems that enable development teams to deliver reliably at scale. You could be working alongside software engineers, platform teams and DevOps specialists to design infrastructure solutions, automate deployments and ensure system reliability., * Designing and implementing cloud infrastructure on Azure, AWS or GCP, with a focus on scalability and resilience
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and testing
- Managing containerized environments using Kubernetes and Docker
- Implementing infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform
- Collaborating with development teams to support microservices architectures and distributed systems
- Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues and optimizing resource usage
- Documenting infrastructure designs and maintaining runbooks for operational teams
- Contributing to platform reliability and implementing best practices for security and performance
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP)
- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes)
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
- Solid understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical background
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
Nice-to-have
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems architecture
- Knowledge of API design and management
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Power BI
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with SAP infrastructure or enterprise systems
- Cloud certification (AWS, Azure or GCP)
