Job description

Roles of this type may sit within data and analytics teams, supporting the delivery of insights and reporting solutions that transform raw data into actionable intelligence. The work could involve partnering with business stakeholders, data engineers and architects to understand requirements, design scalable Power BI solutions, and ensure data quality and performance. You could have scope to influence the shape of reporting frameworks and contribute to raising standards in how organisations visualise and consume their data., * Designing and developing Power BI reports, dashboards and data models to meet business requirements

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into effective visualisations
  • Building and optimising data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data quality and consistency
  • Managing data quality analysis and validation to maintain accuracy and integrity
  • Performing stakeholder engagement in data, ensuring insights are understood and actionable
  • Writing and maintaining SQL queries to support data extraction and transformation
  • Troubleshooting performance issues and optimising report and query execution

Requirements

  • Proven experience developing Power BI solutions in a professional environment
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data query optimisation
  • Demonstrated expertise in data quality analysis and stakeholder engagement in data
  • Working knowledge of data pipelines and ETL processes
  • Familiarity with Azure or cloud-based data platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
  • Microsoft Power BI Certification (or willingness to pursue)
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have experience could include:

  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC or SAP RISE environments
  • Experience with APIs and microservices architectures
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control
  • Exposure to .NET, Python or other backend technologies
  • Understanding of distributed systems and cloud infrastructure
