Job description
Power BI Developer roles in this area could focus on designing and delivering data visualisation solutions that turn complex business data into actionable insights. The work could involve partnering with business users, data engineers and IT teams to deliver self-service analytics solutions, manage data quality and ensure stakeholders can access the insights they need to perform effectively., * Designing and developing Power BI reports and dashboards that translate business requirements into clear, actionable visualisations
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand analytics needs, data requirements and success metrics
- Building data models and ETL pipelines to support Power BI solutions, working with SQL databases and data quality principles
- Performing data quality analysis to ensure accuracy, completeness and reliability of insights delivered to users
- Integrating Power BI solutions with APIs and microservices where needed to access and display real-time or near-real-time data
- Documenting solutions, user guides and best practices to support stakeholder engagement and knowledge transfer
- Supporting users in adopting self-service analytics capabilities and troubleshooting dashboard issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Demonstrated expertise in Power BI, including report design, data modelling and visualisation best practices
- Microsoft Power BI Certification or equivalent professional validation
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
- Experience with data quality analysis and ensuring data accuracy in analytics solutions
- Proficiency in Excel and ability to translate business logic into data solutions
- Stakeholder engagement skills and ability to translate technical concepts into business language
- Experience working in or supporting agile delivery environments
Nice-to-have experience includes:
- Familiarity with Azure, APIs or cloud-based data platforms
- Experience with data pipelines, ETL tools or distributed data systems
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices or version control
- Understanding of SAP systems or enterprise data architecture
