Job description
This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Power BI Specialist roles within our data and business intelligence team. Roles of this type focus on designing, developing and maintaining Power BI solutions that transform data into actionable insights for stakeholders across the organisation., We are looking to add talented Power BI Specialists to our database for contract opportunities based in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England. Roles of this type sit within collaborative technical teams where you could work alongside data engineers, architects and business analysts to deliver analytics solutions that drive decision-making. The work could involve partnering with stakeholders to understand data requirements, designing scalable BI architectures and ensuring data quality throughout the pipeline., * Designing and developing Power BI reports and dashboards that translate complex data into clear, actionable visualisations
- Building and maintaining data pipelines to ensure data quality and accuracy across analytics solutions
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications
- Optimising data models and queries for performance and user experience
- Supporting data quality analysis and validation processes
- Documenting solutions and providing technical guidance to end users
- Working with APIs and data integration tools to connect disparate data sources
Requirements
- Microsoft Power BI Certification or equivalent demonstrated expertise
- Strong experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards and data models
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data
- Experience with data quality analysis and stakeholder engagement in data projects
- Working knowledge of Azure or cloud-based data platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Nice-to-have experience could include:
- Familiarity with data pipelines and ETL processes
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and version control
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages
- Understanding of distributed systems or microservices architecture
- Exposure to SAP environments (S/4HANA, ECC or RISE)
