Job description

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) is an agency within the U.S. Department of Commerce responsible for advising the President on telecommunications and information policy matters, including expanding broadband access and adoption, managing Federal spectrum use, advancing telecommunications innovation, supporting public safety communications, and promoting policies that support the growth of the digital economy.

This position supports NTIA’s Office of Policy Coordination and Management (OPCM), which provides enterprise mission enablement support services across NTIA, including financial management, budget execution, strategic planning, human resources coordination, information technology operational coordination, acquisitions support, administrative operations, facilities and property management, reporting support, process improvement initiatives, workforce support, and enterprise operational coordination. OPCM operates in a dynamic environment that requires agile operational support capable of adapting to changing mission priorities, executive direction, emerging issues, workload fluctuations, and evolving organizational requirements.

The Administrative Support Specialist provides administrative and mission support activities necessary to support NTIA executive support activities, operational coordination, workforce support, records coordination, and mission operations. The position supports agile, cross-functional operational support across multiple functional task areas and contributes to improved coordination, stakeholder engagement, and customer support interactions supporting enterprise mission operations.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative coordination support in support of NTIA enterprise mission operations.
  • Provide executive operational support and support to NTIA executive support activities.
  • Support workforce support activities across the organization.
  • Provide records coordination support.
  • Provide general mission support activities in a dynamic operational environment responsive to evolving mission priorities and executive taskers.
  • Support meeting coordination and follow-up activities and operational coordination across functional task areas.
  • Support operational activities that may involve Government platforms, collaboration tools, and administrative systems, including SharePoint, Microsoft 365, E2, and GovTA.
  • Support monthly operational status reporting and evolving reporting requirements as tasked.
  • Prepare administrative documents and correspondence that are clear, concise, and accurate.
  • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and identify as contractor personnel when working in situations where contractor status is not obvious to third parties.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience providing administrative and mission support, executive support, or operational coordination support.
  • Experience supporting records coordination and workforce support activities.
  • Ability to prepare clear, concise, and accurate administrative documents and correspondence.
  • Ability to comply with the highest standards of professional conduct, exhibit strong ethical behavior, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to evolving project needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to hold or obtain any necessary security clearances or certifications as required by the project.

Required Education

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.

Compensation Disclaimer: The salary range listed reflects a broad span to account for variations in experience, education, certifications, security clearance level, and other job-related factors. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, and alignment with both company guidelines and contractual rate restrictions established by the Government or customer.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
