Job description
Support 24/7/365 Tier II enterprise operations by monitoring infrastructure, applications, capacity, security events, and critical incidents across the global consular environment. This position supports the Department of State Consular Affairs global information technology environment, which includes domestic and overseas facilities, on-premises infrastructure, cloud platforms, applications, databases, and enterprise support services. This is a contingent position based on contract award and final customer requirements.
What You’ll Do

Monitor system and application availability, utilization, capacity, performance, and security events using enterprise monitoring tools.

Create, update, prioritize, and manage incidents and problems in the ticketing system and coordinate timely escalation to technical teams.

Analyze alerts, logs, audit trails, infrastructure failures, and performance trends to identify operational risks and recommend corrective action.

Lead or support critical incident calls and chats, maintain detailed event timelines, and provide timely notifications and leadership updates.

Coordinate crisis-management support for domestic or global events affecting Consular Affairs or Overseas Citizen Services.

Generate operational, performance, availability, capacity, and crisis-related reports for technical teams and leadership.

Maintain RBAC-based account access and support continuous monitoring during scheduled maintenance, unscheduled outages, and continuity events.
Requirements
-
3+ years of experience monitoring enterprise IT environments.

Experience with enterprise monitoring and log-analysis platforms such as Zabbix, Splunk, AppDynamics, or Oracle Enterprise Manager.

Knowledge of incident management, escalation, critical incident response, and operational communications.

Ability to analyze technical alerts, logs, availability, capacity, and performance data.

Ability to work 24/7/365 shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Active Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience in a Federal EOC, NOC, SOC, or mission-critical operations center.

ServiceNow, Power BI, Grafana, or cloud-monitoring experience.
-
ITIL Foundation, Security+, or relevant monitoring-platform certification.
