Job description
We’re partnered with a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) in Manchester that’s investing heavily in its technical team and the services it delivers to clients. They’re now looking for a talented 2nd Line IT Engineer to join the business and take the next step in their technical career.
This is much more than a typical 2nd Line support position. You’ll work across a varied client base and modern IT environments, gaining hands-on exposure to cloud infrastructure, hybrid environments and cyber security, while supporting and troubleshooting a broad range of technologies.
You’ll have the opportunity to get involved with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, cloud platforms and security technologies, as well as supporting infrastructure improvements and technical projects. The business is also embracing AI and emerging technologies, giving you the chance to develop your knowledge in an area that is becoming increasingly important across IT.
What really makes this opportunity stand out is the progression available. The company is keen to develop its engineers and provide a clear route from 2nd Line into 3rd Line Engineering and Infrastructure Engineering. You’ll be surrounded by experienced technical professionals, giving you the support and exposure needed to keep building your skillset.
If you’re a 2nd Line Engineer who wants to move into a more technical environment, work with Cloud, Hybrid Infrastructure, Cyber Security and AI, and build towards a senior engineering career, this could be an excellent next move.
