Job description
You will serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring that staff and users experience minimal downtime and maximum digital efficiency.
- Helpdesk Support: Provide responsive 1st and 2nd line IT support, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, printer, and network connectivity issues.
- System Maintenance: Set up, configure, and deploy new workstations, laptops, tablets, and interactive AV equipment.
- User Administration: Manage user accounts, password resets, and permission settings via Active Directory / Office 365.
- Network & Security: Assist with basic network troubleshooting, firewall checks, and ensuring antivirus and security patches are up to date.
- Documentation: Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and document recurring technical fixes for the knowledge base.
Requirements
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in an IT support, helpdesk, or technical technician role.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and hardware troubleshooting.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with a customer-first attitude and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Qualifications: Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Fundamentals) or an IT-related degree/diploma are a strong advantage.
