Job description
To ensure the effective operation of desktop hardware, software and other end user hardware devices.
Requirements
Hold a Level 4 in a Computing/ICT related subject e.g. HNC/HND. OR 2 years’ experience working in an ICT support/development function* *The 2 years’ experience must include providing Technical Support in each of the following:
- Installation of operating systems such as Windows 10, macOS or Linux
- Installation of desktop application software such as Microsoft Office
- Diagnosing and resolving PC problems in a networked environment
Hold a current driving licence and have access to a car or have access to a form of transport that will enable the post-holder to fulfil the role in full. Demonstrate the ability to apply a logical, methodical approach to problem identification and resolution. Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team. Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills.
Benefits & conditions
Full-time, permanent post, 36 hours per week. Hours will be operated on a rota basis during Monday to Thursday 8.45am to 21.30pm and Friday 8.45am to 15.30pm. Hours may vary to suit the requirements of the post from time to time.
