Job description
An IT Technician at Nimble is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer systems, networks, and technology equipment within an organization. They ensure that hardware, software, and network systems run efficiently and provide technical support to users.Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networks.
- Provide technical support to employees or clients for IT-related issues.
- Troubleshoot system, hardware, and software problems.
- Set up and maintain user accounts, passwords, and permissions.
- Monitor and maintain network performance and security.
- Install updates, patches, and antivirus software.
- Repair or replace faulty hardware components.
- Maintain documentation of systems, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Assist with data backup and recovery processes.
- Train users on basic IT systems and security practices.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Ticketing system technical support?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (often preferred but not always required)
- Relevant certifications can be beneficial, such as:
- CompTIA A+
- Network+
- Microsoft certifications
- Previous experience in IT support or help desk roles is often preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Knowledge of Windows, macOS, or Linux operating systems
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routers, switches)
- Hardware troubleshooting and repair
- Familiarity with IT support tools and ticketing systems
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Time management and ability to handle multiple tasks
Work Environment
- May involve remote support and onsite troubleshooting
- Occasionally requires lifting equipment or working outside regular hours for maintenance.
