The purpose of the Technology Support Consultant III is to provide is advanced technical work advising and assisting computer users in solving problems in a distributed computing environment. Work includes installation of hardware and software, troubleshooting, configuring client server-based application software for LAN, server hardware, operating systems and application systems in a WAN environment. Additionally, this position is expected to engage in routine educational opportunities to expand their general IT knowledge and understanding of the agencies IT environment.
The essential functions of this position require physical strength to frequently push, pull, twist, bend, squat, walk, stand for extended periods of time, lift and/or restrain residents with or without assistance and respond to aggressive resident behavior with specific, trained techniques. Must be able to observe and respond to residents in distress.
Osawatomie State Hospital Adair Acute Care is funded in part by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and is subject to requirements bestowed by Federal and State levels of government conditions of participation., Position Summary: The Technology Support Consultant provides advanced technical support and administration for Osawatomie State Hospitalâs IT systems. This position is responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing system updates, maintaining backup servers, and supporting end users with daily technology needs. The role also includes intranet administration, phone and mobile device management, and participation in IT projects and training to ensure a secure, reliable, and efficient technology environment., * Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Manage desktop administration, software deployment, updates, and inventory tracking.
- Support intranet site administration, updates, and security compliance.
- Monitor and maintain backup servers; ensure successful job completion and error correction.
- Provide support for analog phone systems, cell phones, and tablets.
- Assist staff with IT issues, track recurring problems, and escalate as needed.
- Participate in IT training, knowledge sharing, and on-call support rotation.
- Collaborate with IT peers and management to complete projects and improve systems.
- Required lifting 20-50 pounds throughout shift.
- Able to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, and twist for long periods of time throughout shift.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Distributed systems?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum Qualifications: Two years advising and assisting computer users in a distributed computing environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Three yearsâ experience advising and assisting computer users in a distributed computing environment and/or one year experience in coding, testing and debugging application programs.

Osawatomie State Hospital is licensed by the State of Kansas to provide care and treatment for adults diagnosed with psychiatric disorders regardless of ability to pay. There are currently two hospitals on the Osawatomie campus in Miami county: Osawatomie State Hospital (OSH) and Adair Acute Care (AAC). Adair Acute Care are a 60-bed facility, certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Position is located at Osawatomie State Hospital, days/hours may vary. This position may require you to work weekends. A negative drug screen is required as a condition of employment.
