Job description
- Design, implement, and optimize firewall and IPS rule structures to ensure security standards are maintained
- Monitor, maintain, and improve the health and performance of firewalls and intrusion prevention systems (IPS)
- Plan and coordinate enterprise-wide network security initiatives and solutions
- Develop and maintain documentation, schematics, and procedures related to network security infrastructure
- Research, evaluate, test, and implement new security technologies and tools
- Support network engineering teams with expert-level security guidance
- Lead migrations from Cisco ASA to Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) environments
Requirements
- 10+ years of overall IT experience
- Bachelorās degree in a related field (strongly preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), including upgrades, deployment, and licensing
- Proven experience with Cisco Firepower and ASA to FTD migrations
- Strong knowledge of Cisco 802.1X deployment and authentication frameworks
- Experience designing and deploying DMVPN (CNSSP-15 compliant) and Juniper ADVPN
- Solid understanding of routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP
- Active Top Secret security clearance (required)

- CCNP Enterprise (Routing & Switching)
- CCDP
