Job description

JOB SUMMARY: Employee is responsible for supporting the user requirements, and computing environment, of the Tribal Information Technology Infrastructure; for the broadcast and archival maintenance of Tribal Council Meetings; and the management of the HelpDesk system. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES, * This position will maintain the client-side computing environment for the Tribal Administration and attached Divisions.

  • Employee will distribute and repair computing equipment.
  • Implement and troubleshoot software applications.
  • Deploy applications and create application specific environments.
  • Employee will manage the helpdesk system and respond to requests for support from Tribal employees.
  • Employee will work with contractors hired to assist with IT projects.
  • Employee will assist with server-side deployments and maintenance as required.
  • Employee will record, broadcast, and archive all Tribal Council Meetings and any other meetings directed by administration.
  • This Position supports the Security Systems Technician.
  • The above duties and responsibilities are not an all-inclusive list but rather a general representation of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position. The duties and responsibilities will be subject to change based on organizational needs and/or deemed necessary by the supervisor., PERSONAL CONTACTS: Employee will have daily contact with IT Director, Tribal Employees, and outside contractors. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Person must be mobile and can be required to lift a minimum of 75lbs repeatedly. Must be able to scale ladders and obstacles. Must be able to operate hand-held construction machinery. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office is located in the Tribal Administration building. Employee will be working at any location on the Tribal Campus, indoor and outdoor. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Employee will travel locally to Tribal buildings as necessary. May attend trainings or meetings locally or out of the area.
