Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in an IT support or laboratory environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop support.
  • Experience with computer hardware installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Basic networking knowledge, including connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting instrument-controlled computers and laboratory IT systems.
  • Knowledge of Windows security administration (user/group permissions, Group Policies, file and folder security).
  • Experience with computer imaging, software deployment, and system upgrades.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and remote support tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and client-facing communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with instrument vendors, laboratory personnel, and infrastructure teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects within defined timelines.
  • Experience maintaining IT asset inventories and documentation.
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery systems.
  • Ability to work in laboratory environments while following safety and compliance requirements.
  • Physical ability to lift 25-50 lbs and move between laboratories and buildings.
