Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled SSD Component Quality Engineer to drive the quality and reliability of Solid State Drive (SSD) components, focusing on both current products and new technologies. This role is central to monitoring product health, executing firmware qualifications, and enhancing our quality infrastructure through automation and data analysis.Key Responsibilities

  1. Component Reliability and Monitoring ASR/DPPM Monitoring: Establish and maintain active monitoring of Annualized Failure Rate (ASR) alerts for TLC/SLC SSDs. Perform failure analysis, including pareto charting for all data and boot SSDs on AI/CnS systems. Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth SSD parametric data analysis and review DPPM (Defective Parts Per Million) and VLRR (Vendor Lot Rejection Rate) findings to provide actionable feedback. Alert Triage: Own the process for triaging and resolving SSD Endurance alerts. Sustaining Engineering: Manage SSD sustaining activities, including firmware (FW) qualifications, Change Requests (CRs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and handling FAVE/MTE escalations. Lab Support: Provide hands-on lab support, specifically modify and execute tests in in-house test framework in Python and executing JQ (Joint Qual) working with SSD Vendors, on limited sample SSDs, including next-generation QLC technology.

  2. Quality Infrastructure and Reporting Dashboard Management: Partner with SCAI or other resources to maintain current quality dashboards and drive the development of new dashboards for improved visibility and reporting.

  3. Process Improvement and Automation Automation: Lead and contribute to automation efforts across quality processes to increase efficiency and scalability. Manufacturing Test Improvement: Drive improvements in manufacturing test error code classification and quality to ensure accurate issue detection., null
