IT Asset Coordinator

We’re looking for a field-driven Resident Engineer to oversee sidewalk reconstruction and street tree planting projects across New York City’s parks and neighborhoods. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being in the field, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring high-quality work that directly improves public spaces., * Conduct daily site visits across city parks and sidewalks (typically within one borough).

• Be on site by 7:00 a.m., overseeing active construction and planting operations.
• Monitor and coordinate contractor activities including excavation, saw cutting, planting, and concrete restoration.
• Ensure all work meets project specifications, safety standards, and contract requirements.
• Work closely with project managers and NYC Parks representatives to keep projects on track.
• Track and verify quantities for pay items such as trees planted and excavation volumes.
• Complete daily field reports, measurements, and documentation.
• Enforce safety compliance, including proper PPE and safe work practices.

• Associate degree + 2 years of relevant field experience
• Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of related experience
• Master’s degree + 6 months of related experience
• OR 3+ years of relevant hands-on field experience
• Experience in construction oversight, parks projects, sidewalks, landscaping, forestry, or civil works.
• Ability to read and apply project specifications and contract documents.
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
• Comfortable working independently in the field and managing multiple sites.
• Willingness to work outdoors year-round in varying weather.
• Access to a vehicle for travel between job sites.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship., * Experience with street tree planting, tree protection, or landscape construction.
• Knowledge of plant species, soils, or basic plant health.
• Past work with landscaping or tree care companies.
• Familiarity with urban parks or municipal infrastructure projects.
• Interest in long-term growth within parks, infrastructure, or arboriculture programs.
