Carey Liu

Carey Liu is a Product Security professional on TikTok's Global Security team, focusing on product security, AI-SDLC operations, and AI-native security governance. As part of the team, he is currently contributing to SEVA (Spec-driven Engineering Validation Agent), a product designed to bring security validation into product and technical design reviews earlier in the SDLC. With 10 years of experience across security product operations, technical program management, and DevSecOps solution pre-sales, Carey is passionate about making security more scalable, actionable, and developer-friendly. His work focuses on shift-left security and emerging spec-driven AI coding workflow, helping engineering teams build securely by design before code is written. Carey holds a Computer Science degree from the University of British Columbia and a Master’s degree in Information Security from UC Berkeley.
